Say hello to Ozow.ME’s pocket feature – the only digital wallet you’ll ever need. Top up, send, pay and withdraw all from one place, all from your pocket.
Open your pocket
Register your pocket so you never have to carry cash around again. All it takes is:
Top up your pocket
Make sure your pocket is always full. Here’s how you top it up:
choose “Top up”.
Pay from your pocket
Paying from pocket to pocket is so easy, all you need to do is:
1. Sign into your pocket in Ozow.ME.
2. Select “Pay Now”.
3. Select “Pay into another pocket”.
4. Punch in the amount you want to pay.
5. Enter the cell number linked to the pocket you want to pay into.
6. Confirm the payment.
7. Validate the payment with the OTP you receive. And you’re done!

Pay from your pocket
1. Sign into your pocket in Ozow.ME.
2. Select “Pay Now”.
3. Select “Pay into another pocket”.

5. Enter the cell number linked to the pocket you want to pay into.
6. Confirm the payment.
7. Validate the payment with the OTP you receive. And you’re done!
Withdraw from your pocket
Withdraw into your linked bank account
- Select your pocket on Ozow.ME.
- Select the drop down box next to your balance, and select “Withdraw”.
- Enter the amount you want to withdraw. Select “EFT into my bank account”, and hit “Next”.
- Confirm the amount, fee, and the account information.
- Select “Withdraw”.
- Enter the OTP that is sent to you via SMS.
And that’s it! You’ve made a withdrawal into your linked bank account.
Withdraw at a Cash Express ATM
- Select your pocket on Ozow.ME.
- Select the drop down box next to your balance, and select “Withdraw”.
- Select “Cash Express ATM”, and hit “Next”.
- Select “EFT into my bank account”, and hit “Next”.
- Confirm the amount and fee. You’ll also see the voucher’s expiration date.
- Select “Withdraw”.
- Enter the OTP that is sent to you via SMS.
- You’ll receive your voucher number in an SMS,
and you’ll be able to see it in your transactions screen.
And now you can withdraw your cash from your
nearest Cash Express ATM!
Withdraw at a Pick n Pay till point
- Select your pocket on Ozow.ME.
- Select the drop down box next to your balance, and select “Withdraw”.
- Enter the amount you want to withdraw.
- Select “Pick n Pay till point”, and hit “Next”.
- Confirm the amount, and the fee. You’ll also see the voucher’s expiration date.
- Select “Withdraw”.
- Enter the OTP that is sent to you via SMS.
- You’ll receive your voucher number in an SMS, and you’ll be able to see it in your transactions screen.
And now you can head on over to your nearest
Pick n Pay to make your withdrawal!
1. Select your pocket on Ozow ME.
2. Select the drop down box next to your balance, and select “Withdraw”.
3. Enter the amount you want to withdraw. Select “EFT into my bank account”, and hit “Next”.
4. Confirm the amount, fee, and the account information.
6. Select “Withdraw”.
5. Enter the OTP that is sent to you via SMS.
And that’s it! You’ve made a withdrawal into your linked bank account.

8. You’ll receive your voucher number in an SMS, and you’ll be able to see it in your transactions screen.
And now you can head on over to your nearest
Pick n Pay to make your withdrawal!
Pocket FAQs
1. In the main menu, click on the "Pay Now" button
2. Select Pay into another wallet.
3. On the following screen enter the amount as well as the receiver's mobile number
4. Ozow will verify that the receiver does in fact have an Ozow pocket
5. Click next to continue and verify using biometrics if enabled
6. Then click Finished, that's it... the receiver will receive the funds into their Ozow pocket and an SMSs confirming the payment.
7. Your latest activity will be updated to show that the funds have left your Ozow Pocket
1. Select the Pick n Pay till point option when completing the withdraw process in the Ozow.ME app
2. Once confirmed, an SMS will be sent to your mobile with directions and a code to withdraw from any Pick n Pay till point.
3. The amount will only be deducted from your wallet as soon as you withdraw from a Pick n Pay till point.
4. The Voucher will be valid until the end of the next business day, after which if not redeemed the funds will be put back into your wallet.
5. At the Pick n Pay teller, you can let the teller know you would like to make a Ukheshe withdrawal, for them to be able to process your request
1. Select the Cash Express ATM option when completing the withdrawal process in the Ozow.ME app
2. Once confirmed, an SMS will be sent to your mobile number with directions and a code to withdraw from any CashExpress ATM.
3. The amount will only be deducted from your wallet as soon as you withdraw from the Cash Express ATM.
4. The Voucher will be valid for 24Hours after which if not redeemed the funds will be put back into your wallet.
5. Not all Cash Express ATM have received the latest update to display the Ozow Logo. You can still use any of the other logos available in the interim by simply selecting one of them and processing the withdrawal.
1. You can withdraw funds from your Ozow pocket by clicking on the drop-down arrow next to your pocket balance in the pocket home screen and selecting the Withdrawal button
2. Select the Withdraw button.
3. Enter the amount you would like to withdraw from your Ozow pocket.
4. Select the withdrawal type, the options are:
· EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) in to your bank account
· Cash via a Cash Express ATM
· Cash via a Pick n Pay till point
This could happen for several reasons, however the most common being
· insufficient funds in your selected account to fund the transfer
· Loss of connectivity while verifying the transaction
· Your banks online banking system maybe experiencing downtime.
Please confirm you have enough available funds in the bank account you selected and try the payment again
1. You can top-up your Ozow pocket by selecting the top-up button below your pocket balance
2. Simply enter the amount you would like to top up your pocket with
3. Select the bank account you would like to transfer the funds from.
4. Login to the bank account by entering your bank login credentials
5. Authorize the payment using your banking app and return to the payment screen in Ozow.ME
6. Your successful top-up will update your, balance and will display in your latest transactions
When you are ready to pay, open Ozow ME and select “Scan toPay”.
Once you’ve given access to your camera, simply scan the QR code and follow the prompts to make a payment.
📌 Ozow.ME works with any Ozow or Zapper QR codes.
1. Open Ozow.ME and choose to “GetPaid”.
2. Fill in the details of who needs to pay you and how much they owe.
3. Create a unique QR code or send payment link via one of our channels i.e. SMS/WhatsApp or Messenger
As part of your sign-up for Ozow.ME we will provide you with clear steps to link your bank account.
1. Select the bank account you would like to link
2. Enter the selected bank account number and your online banking password for your online banking credentials

Currently, we support the following bank accounts :

It could be that your ID number and selfie do not match the reference images and information stored on the home affairs database. If you have a very the old green barcoded ID document, it means home affairs does not have an image of you and therefore we cannot verify you. You will need to get an updated ID to sign up.
Providing your South African ID number along with taking a selfie with a thumbs up helps us verify that you are you. This is an extra layer of security to make sure you are always protected

It may be that you have entered the cellphone number incorrectly, please double check that the number you have entered is correct and can receive SMS's. If you are still not receiving your OTP, please click on the Resend SMS link on the OTP screen inside the app.
