How it works?

First-time users: before starting, first-time users must ensure that PayShap is enabled in their bank app.

  1. Select Payment Method
  • Users choose PayShap from multiple options (Card, Voucher, Pay by Bank, PayShap).
  1. Choose Your Bank
  • A list of supported banks is displayed (e.g., FNB, Discovery Bank, TymeBank, Nedbank Bank).
  • This step ensures compatibility with the user's banking provider.
  1. Enter Verification Details
  • User inputs either their registered mobile number or account number.
  • This information initiates and verifies the transaction securely.
  • First time users must ensure that PayShap is enabled on their bank app.
  1. Validate PayShap Request
  • A countdown timer appears, prompting the user to:
  • Open their bank app (e.g., Standard Bank).
  • Locate the PayShap request in notifications.
  • Confirm the transaction details.
  • Enter their PIN to authorise the payment.
  1. Bank Authentication
  • The bank app processes and authenticates the transaction internally.
  • This adds a layer of security and trust.
  1. Payment Confirmation
  • Once the transaction has been confirmed in the users' bank app, the user is redirected to Ozow to view the final confirmation screen.
